Sound Quality Working GroupTM
The intent of the Sound Quality Working Group™ (SQWG) is to rejuvenate the acoustic field and begin to move it from its current status as a commodity field back to its roots as a performance field and into the future as an emerging new look at sound quality. The current consumer of quality products is paying for performance that is not usually attained and is operating under the assumption that product brand is not particularly important.
The current acoustic design process does not generally evaluate performance or human interface, it makes little attempt to stimulate and it is quite repetitive from project to project.
It is the intent of this collaborative effort of the SQWG to reorient acoustic research toward preferred human perception.
